Frequently Asked Questions

My standard rate is $160 for a 45-minute individual therapy session and $225 for couples counseling. I offer sliding-scale options on a limited basis—if cost is a concern, feel free to ask.

I am an in-network provider with Aetna. If you have a different insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for part of the cost of therapy. Many plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna, offer out-of-network coverage—check with your provider to see what’s available.
If you’re unsure whether your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can call your insurance company and ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy, 45-minute sessions (CPT Code 90834)?
What is my deductible, and how much of it has been met?
What is my coinsurance percentage? (This is the portion your insurance will cover after you’ve met your deductible.)
I’ll provide you with a superbill, which includes all the necessary details for reimbursement.

Yes! I offer free 30-minute consultations. It’s an opportunity for us to discuss what you're hoping to get from therapy, ask any questions, and see if my approach aligns with your needs.

Book a consultation! We can chat about what you’re looking for, how I work, and whether it feels like the right match.

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re struggling with, and what you want to get out of our work together. It’s a chance for you to ask any questions, and for me to explain how I work and what to expect from our time together. We’ll also start identifying your goals for therapy, which will help us stay focused and guide our work going forward. No need to over-prepare—you can come in with specific things on your mind or just bring yourself, and we’ll take it from there.
As we move forward, you’ll set the pace, and I’ll support you in exploring your experiences, making sense of them, and working through challenges. Therapy is about being present and open to the process, so you don’t need to have everything figured out. Just come as you are, and we’ll work together to create real change.

Life happens, and sometimes you need to reschedule. I have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged for the full session. If you miss a session without enough notice, you’ll be charged for the full session. If something urgent comes up, just reach out as soon as you can, and we’ll work together to find the best solution.

Yeah! I’m available for in-person sessions in Midtown Manhattan. I also offer hybrid sessions, so you can choose (with notice) between in-person or remote depending on what works best for you.
